I had high hopes for Lee Jung-jae outside of Squid Game, but this felt more like a slog than a standout. The premise of an aging actor who wants to escape his detective typecasting, paired with a reporter, had potential but felt exhausted from the start.
While I appreciated the mature approach that avoided forced romance, the male lead’s childish behavior was jarring. It made it hard to invest in the relationship when he often acted like a toddler.
