Storyline:
Three young men—Dong Gu, who dreams of becoming a filmmaker but often faces bad luck; Jun Gi, a quirky and unusual actor; and Du Sik, a laid-back writer who works on his own terms—decide to open a guesthouse called “Waikiki” in the Itaewon neighborhood. Personal Opinion on Welcome to Waikiki KDrama
This is what I call a great SITCOM! Extending the episodes was a smart move to avoid a rushed ending. The first episode grabbed my attention with its weird, embarrassing, and romantic moments, keeping me excited throughout. As the story progressed, it became even funnier and more romantic, though a few later scenarios fell flat for me. Still, it made me laugh and was a perfect stress reliever. Just beware of watching late at night—you might wake your whole family from laughing!
The cast did an amazing job, but SOL truly shines as the standout performer—she deserves an award! Jun Ki’s character annoyed me at first, but he grew on me as the show went on. The chemistry among the couples and the bromance is fantastic. I would definitely rewatch this during tough times. The OST is also amazing and keeps playing in my head.
